In 1986, California voters approved the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act, known as Proposition 65, requiring businesses to provide warnings to customers about potential exposure to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.<\/p>\n
Products with any amount of substances covered by Proposition 65 must carry a warning since almost all electronic products contain 1 or more of the chemicals listed under Proposition 65 we added this warning on our website to keep our customers informed. <\/p>\n
The warning does not mean that our products actually will cause any harm. Moreover, a Proposition 65 warning does not mean a product is in violation of any product-safety standards or requirements. In fact, the California government has clarified that \u201cthe fact that a product bears a Proposition 65 warning does not mean by itself that the product is unsafe.\u201d The government has also explained, \u201cYou could think of Proposition 65 more as a \u2018right to know\u2019 law than a pure product safety law.\u201d <\/p>\n
